A New World
FREE THEATRE WORKSHOP FOR YOUR SCHOOL
With funding from Arts Council England, we are inviting your school to benefit from an
exciting opportunity for pupils in YEARS 5- 8 in Spring/Summer Term 2023, providing a stimulus for them to create their own poetry or prose or to sing, paint and perform.
After a free one-hour workshop led by an experienced theatre director and held in your school in spring term, we will invite your pupils to create artworks which will be featured at our Arts share event in July 2023 at Green Arts Centre, Cricket Green School, Mitcham and other local venues. Our 2022 project, Stories of Survival featured 140 paintings, 3 films, 4 theatre pieces and collections of poetry created by local school pupils from local primary and secondary schools.
The theme we have chosen this year is;
A New World
The future is in your hands - what kind of world do you want to create?
Teachers and pupils are free to interpret this theme in any way they wish.
At the Arts Share event in July 2023, short stories and poems will be read out by young
performers in front of a live audience and paintings and collages will be professionally mounted and displayed. There will be opportunities for your pupils to perform songs or
short theatre pieces which they can either record in school or perform live at Green Arts
Centre, equipped with theatre lighting, sound and cinema quality projector.
Places are limited! To book your free one hour workshop please contact;
